Conghua Five Dishes
First: Baked Chicken
Local people choose free range chickens for this dishes. They wrap the chicken with mud near the hot spring and bake it. The mud cleaning method is greatly upgraded today, so as the nutrition and flavor of the dish.
Second: Lvtian-style Stewed Pork
The stewed pork has been Lvtian’s famous dishes for a long history. The pork is well seasoned with herbs and dark soy sauce, and after stew, it smells very nice. And the pork is not fatting after the long-tine stew.
Third: Guifeng-style bean curd in stuffed with minced pork
Guifeng Mountain, 1034 meters above sea level, provide Lvtian county unpolluted cool water. Local people use the water to grind soy beans and make bean curd. A local story has it that hundreds of years ago, many monks traveling around China came to Litian. For monks were all vegetarians, local people served them with dishes of soy beans and bean curd. The monks said that was the best bean curd around China.
Fourth Seasoned Goose
A local legend has it that long long ago, a businessman in Conghua wanted his daughter to marry a rich young man. However, his daughter was in love with a very poor farmer named Aniu. Then the father said:” Whoever makes a best dish with goose, he will have my daughter as his wife.” Aniu then use herbs, sticky rice and wine to season the goose and stew it. T he goose absorb all the aroma of the ingredients and all the contestants the admitted that Aniu’s dish was the best. Aniu best dish for a perfect match!
Fifth: Liuxi Fish Head
The fish and water in Liuxi River combine to make a very delicious and fresh dish. And the caraway adds much aroma to the dish.
